Who made the cut — and why

  • Company licences only (not individuals)
  • Builder – Low Rise and/or Builder – Open licence classes — the residential profile: houses, duplexes and townhouses (Low Rise) through to unrestricted work (Open)
  • QBCC Financial Category 1 or 2
  • SEQ postcodes — Brisbane, Gold Coast/Logan, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast
💡 Why these categories were filtered: They provide one practical way to narrow a public builder dataset for research. Category membership does not establish actual revenue, staffing or coordination needs. I assess each builder's process before proposing a scoped automation system.

How I work the list

  1. Pick 10 companies in the preferred region. Check each on the free public QBCC licence search to confirm the licence is current.
  2. Visit their website and socials — count active projects, look for Procore/Buildertrend mentions, note any "we're hiring" posts. A builder advertising for a Contract Administrator is publicly telling you where it hurts.
  3. Check public job ads for process clues. A role description can suggest administrative workflows to ask about, but automation does not replace the breadth of a human coordinator's work.
  4. Discuss a relevant workflow review only after checking the builder's actual needs and the agreed automation scope.
